Leap spans from the multidisciplinary work developed in India by the Design Laboratory at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health (D-Lab) and the Transform Rural India Foundation under a seed investment provided by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
This work surfaced promising opportunities and a growing appetite to bring the D-Lab’s approach to fill a capability gap. Leap was created as a catalyst organization to build design capabilities and unlock latent potential in existing networks to promote the well-being of people and the planet.
